MRI Tech Aide™ (MRTA)

The MRI Tech Aide™ Certificate Program offered by us is a comprehensive educational initiative designed to train both non-allied and allied health personnel for roles in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to support MRI operations effectively, ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow within diagnostic imaging centers.
Program Overview
Upon completing the program, graduates receive a certificate, qualifying them for positions such as MRI Tech Aide or MRI Tech Assistant in various healthcare settings, including radiology centers, diagnostic MRI clinics, and hospitals. In these roles, individuals provide essential on-site support, liaising between virtual MRI Technologists (VRT) and patients to ensure smooth and safe MRI examinations.
Qualifications
The program is accessible to a diverse group of applicants. While a high school diploma or GED is required, 1-2 years of healthcare-related experience is preferred. However, relevant experience in the service industry is also acceptable. The program particularly welcomes:

Responsibilities
Graduates of the program are trained to undertake several critical responsibilities, including:
- MRI Safety Screening and Clearance: Conduct thorough safety screenings for all MRI patients to prevent contraindications.
- MRI Examination Room Preparation: Prepare examination rooms by setting up exam tables, selecting appropriate MRI coils, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for each patient.
- Patient Positioning and Landmarking: Accurately position patients according to the specific requirements of each MRI examination, ensuring precise landmarking of the targeted body part.
- Patient History Documentation: Record detailed patient histories and input information into the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Patient Communication and Support: Provide a calm and reassuring environment for patients before, during, and after the MRI exam, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Curriculum
The program’s curriculum is structured into several modules, each focusing on different aspects of MRI technology and patient care:
- Course Overview: Introduction to the MRI Tech Aide™ Certification Course and understanding clinical requirements.
- Patient Care and MRI Safety: This section covers legal and ethical principles, MRI screening and safety, patient assessment, interpersonal communication, and infection control.
- Medical Terminology: Focuses on combining forms, prefixes, suffixes, and the language of medicine.
- MRI Systems: Discusses electromagnetism, radiofrequency, and gradient systems.
- Patient Preparation, Positioning, and Landmarking: This section provides detailed instructions for various MRI procedures, including brain, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging.
- Hospital Codes, System Maintenance, and Quality Assurance: This section addresses hospital codes, reactions, and MRI strength versus metal and includes relevant videos and quizzes.
- Clinical Requirements: Outlines the clinical requirements that must be completed before the certification exam.
- Certification: Concludes with a certification exam to assess the knowledge and skills acquired during the course.
Each module includes lectures, practice quizzes, and practical components to ensure a well-rounded education.
Enrollment and Investment
The program costs $2,500, with an option to pay in two monthly installments of $1,175. Upon enrollment, the MRI Tech Aide course is activated immediately, allowing participants to begin their training immediately.
